THANG _ DJ _ ARTIST
Glad u guys bring this issue up as I share the same thoughts. She’s been sending us ’signals’ for some ages now: maybe to slow a bit down, enjoying a blue sky next to a sunbeam while birds passing by…
Lower the expectations and social pressure of society where people are expected to work very hard so they belong to a certain ‘group’. Then again, we gotta pay a lot of taxes, so we might need to find a new balance…
Well, my girlfriend and I were already aware we needed to change our daily routine and habits: we stopped eating meat, trying to buy local/bio as much as we can, leaving the car at home if possible etc.
I’m telling people what we have changed in our routine, but I’d never try to push people in our direction, I just want to tell them how much we enjoy this kind of living.
Taking a simple walk outside, not being pressured or stressed out, having an easier routine.
Now, I finally got the time to digitise my vinyl collection. So, I’m surprised by my collection so far…! I make a mix every time I’ve got 40 to 50 tracks, so it keeps me creative which is really important to me.
As for everybody: hanging around with my friends, hugging them, having a laugh and lots of drinks.
For me personally: the connection with the dance floor and amplified music...
Good question… As we want to organise a 16 hour in - and outdoor party next year, it might be interesting to book some international dj’s who live across the ocean, to stream their hologram while performing live… But that might take a lot of heavy servers…
As a dj: maybe I only need to play all nighter sets, so I don’t have to transport too much during a weekend.
That I don’t panic at all during these days, so I’m really aware of the consequences we need to endure. I started to run as well, which I hated since my entire life. But now I can keep up for 50min!
So I believe our society might implement some short yoga lessons at work to start the day like they do in some Asian countries, you might get better results…!
NATURE!
Check the sky, you barely see any planes!
I believe teleworking should be a must, especially with all the available technology, I don’t see any excuses. To me, it shall have a better effect on family life too, so parents can have a better connection with their kids.
To keep the flow we’ve been following since a couple of months.
Hard to say in my sector, but I feel a lot of sympathy and solidarity from colleagues, bookers, promoters and our ticket buyers as we needed to cancel our event for 5000 visitors which was planned to take place on April 12th. We were able to move it to April 2021, with almost all of our artists…
Although we’re facing a financial loss, our ‘dancers’ are longing hard to our 2021 edition already, so that gives us the courage to keep our heads up!
